Library keeps your to-dos, notes and prompt libraries. This page says what it stores about you, why, and how to remove it.
What we collect
- Account details: your name and email address, and your password, which is stored only as a one-way hash.
- What you write: your to-dos, notes, folders, tags and prompts, and the version history of your prompts.
- Sharing: if you share a prompt library, the email addresses you invite and the link you create.
- Sign-in tokens: a token that keeps you signed in. The Mac app keeps it in the macOS Keychain, the website in your browser.
Why
Only to run Library: to sign you in, show your content on every device you use, and let you share a library with the people you choose. We do not sell your data, show ads, or track you across other apps and sites. Library has no third-party analytics.
Who can see it
Only you, and the people you share a library or link with. The service runs on our own server at a hosting provider in the European Union. When the optional writing suggestions are available, the text around your cursor is sent to the AI model provider that produces the suggestion, and nothing else is.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your data until you delete it. You can delete your account at any time from Settings in the Mac app, or on the website at library.stacksjs.com/delete-account. That permanently removes your account, to-dos, notes, prompt libraries and shares from our server. Notes you move to Recently Deleted are removed for good after 30 days.
Children
Library is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
